Born 26th April 1958
Douglas Baird grew up in Cowcaddens area of Glasgow.
He is the singleowner of the Baird Empire .
Which is now based outside Glasgow in the town of Clydebank .
Douglas and his sister June went to Dundas vale Primary School was also known as the Normal school .
Father John was a clerk in British Road Services and mother Cathie was a homehelp.
Weekends were spent at Gran and Grandfathers in Slamannan

What a blast from my past i have just seen, i was born in 71 wemyss st, then moved to No 66 in the early 60s, have many great memories of the street, a great childhood,every day was an adventure to me, seen some old pics on the virtual mtchell site of No 66 with my dads scooter outside at the close. the cambridge bar, fusco,s esquire, and sands shops,
