MANAROLA

                                   Cinque Terre
Bairdstravel took the train from Pisa to Monterosso .Takes about 1.30hrs and the fares are very cheap.
Between the five lands there are footpaths or take the Train. In the summer there is a boat service between the villages

Statue of the Giant (a Neptune rested to the cliff to guard the sea)
MONTEROSSO
Monterosso has the best beaches of the Cinque Terre villages and the most wine shops, artisan shops, hotels and restaurants. The village is divided into two parts from San Cristoforo hill and the old part of the village, protected by a rock spur, still presents the maritime village

VERNAZZO
Vernazza has a natural pier with a amphitheatre shape making it perhaps the most picturesque village of the Cinque Terre. Vernazza was a Roman installation and had a big strategical importance during the age of the Maritime Republics in Genoa. It was also famous for its carpenters.
walk from Corniglia to Manarola
CORNIGLIA
Placed on a steep promontory, with two exclusive small beaches at its sides, Corniglia can be reached from the railway through a long flight of steps leading to the village (an elevator is being built).

MANAROLA
The village of Manarola is surrounded by vines and is situated along a stream. The wine of Manarola is very famous and the "Via dell’ Amore" starts here: an easy to walk, paved path a distance of two kilometres, connecting Manarola to Riomaggiore.
RIOMAGGIORE

Riomaggiore, has seduced artists into becoming residents. The tunnel next to the train tracks takes you to a fascinating tangle of colorful homes. Riomaggiore's beach, an uncrowded cove, is a two-minute walk from town.

The Cinque Terre...nowhere else does the lure of the Mediterranean, Italy, and village life combine so potently to shipwreck a speedy itinerary.

Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola and Rio Riomaggiore. These places are jointed by the so called "The Lovers' road": this is the most romantic and suggestive image of an extremely fascinating natural fresco. To those who love good wine is dedicated a peculiar speciality: the sciacchetrà. This is a white wine got out of the vine yards characterizing these zones. This wine is produced in limited amount and worthy of real connoisseurs
