OUR FIRST TRIP WAS FOR OUR HONEYMOON .taking [ in Hawaii as well]

WE FLEW FROM GLASGOW TO MC CARRAN INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT VIA LONDON

ON ARRIVAL WE FLAGGED DOWN A TAXI

BEFORE OUR TRIP WE HAD DONE SOME RESEARCH

I REMEMBER THE GUIDE BOOKS SAYING $10 WAS THE MOST YOU SHOULD PAY FOR A TAXI FROM AIRPORT TO FLAMINGO.

SO WHEN WE STOPPED THE CAB I ENQUIRED THE COST OF OUR TRIP. 20 BUCKS I WAS TOLD .

I MENTION THAT I HAD READ THAT $10 WAS MAX FARE FOR SUCH A SHORT TRIP.

THE DRIVER WENT MENTAL OPENED THE TRUNK [boot]TOOK OUT OUR CASES

DUMP THEM ON THE SIDEWALK [pavement]. DROVE AWAY INTO THE SUNSET

AFTER THAT SHOCK STOPPED ANOTHER TAXI PAID THE GOING RATE THIS TIME [ for a quiet life].

THE FIRST TIME IN VEGAS WE STAYED AT THE LUXOR BUT THIS TIME WE CHOOSE THE FLAMINGO

X Scream is one scary experience, dangling thrill seekers hundreds of feet from earth.
Simply being perched atop the observation deck on the Stratosphere Tower, the eighth-tallest building in the world, is intimidating enough. But the one minute ride takes it a little bit further. The arm of X Scream stretches out 27 feet over the edge of the tower.
Passengers are loaded into an eight-seat car on the high-tech teeter-totter and hoisted high into the air before the track dives at a 30-degree angle, taking the car and your nerves with it.
After reaching speeds of 30 mph, the car jerks to a sudden halt at the end of the track, with nothing but 900 feet of air between you and the ground.

WE ENJOYED O`SHEA`S

My favorite place to play the tables in Las Vegas. My last two trips to Vegas, the bulk of my gambling was done there. . Friendly dealers, quirky (in a great way) and the 24 hour Happy Hour rocks.1beer for 1 buck can`t beat that a nd the food court is pretty decent and very good on the wallet (more $$$ for the tables).

and did I mention a dollar a beer.

DAY TRIP

Had always dreamed about seeing the Grand Canyon

We took a helicopter tour to the Grand Canyon .A bird’s eye view of historic Lake Mead, Boulder City, and Hoover Dam on our narrated flight.
At the secluded Grand Canyon West Rim,we descended 4,000 feet to the canyon floor where we saw over two billion years of history along the canyon walls. Marvel in the carved layers of dramatic rock formations. Next to the banks of the Colorado River where we enjoyed a picnic meal, served under an authentic Indian Ramada. With this tour, enjoy time for exploration of the Hualapai lands and had an opportunity to take great photos.
