MONTE CARLO

STEVIE AND DEBBIE`S TRIP TO      MONTE CARLO

March 2008 Stevie and Debbie travelled to the wonderful Principality of Monaco.
Once in your life you have to go for a trip in Monaco. This mythic place, between the Alpes and the Mediterranean sea will offer you dreams and reality.
Monaco Monte-Carlo provides you many discoveries, a highly cultured place with its many museums, nice welcome with its nicest hotels in the world, sumptuous gastronomy with his wellknown restaurants. Everything is done for your satisfaction !

After a early start Stevie and Debbie arrive in Nice .Where a helicopter awaits.
The helicopter takes the couple right into Monte Carlo .

The first thing they notice when they arrived was the cars! It's not uncommon to see a Rolls Royce double-parked next to a shiny Ferrari which is sitting in front of a Porsche near the casino, and the sheer number of expensive sports cars is amazing.

The next thing you'll notice is how clean it is. You'll seldom even see litter on the streets. And finally, you'll be delighted by the more than 100 statues, fountains and sculptures that are found throughout all five districts of Monaco. As you wander around you'll soon discover the narrow, winding medieval alleyways, stone arches and "secret" passageways, fragrant flowers and pastel-painted buildings with red tiled roofs so characteristic of the French Riviera.

DAY TRIP OUT TO ST PAUL
Saint-Paul de Vence, the most beautiful village in the world ...
its exceptional geographical location.

With an average of 300 days of sunshine a year, St Paul is blessed with a uniquely mild climate.
Located  between mountains and sea, the medieval village of St Paul, from its 60-feet rocky outcrop, overlooks the surrounding landscape, with the Mediterranean sea and the Cap d'Antibes, the Alps and the Esterel Mountains.
St Paul stretches over 1.700 acres, with a population of 3.000 inhabitants, 300 of which live within the village.

CAFE DE PARIS

One of the “in” places to be “seen” is the Café de Paris. Sit back, have a drink and while you’re waiting for your lunch to arrive, enjoy the totally French atmosphere. Locals frequent the café as often as tourists, and if you are fluent at all in French, you might hear the latest gossip about one of the Royal family, or speculation about whom the huge white yachts lined up in the harbor belong to.

The Monte-Carlo Casino: What would a visit to Monaco be without a stop in the famous district of Monte Carlo and its casino? Built in 1878 by Charles Garnier, it was Europe’s first gambling establishment. The atrium is paved in marble and is surrounded by 28 Ionic columns made from onyx. The casino (which charges a fee to enter and has a dress code of jacket and tie for men) also requires identification, so take your passport. Beyond the main salons is a private gaming room for high rollers. High roller Stevie broke his bank with 15 euro flutter.
