Set off for PISA early Saturday morning [6.20]
Leaning Tower of Pisa

Booked through Hotel.com  £34  per person per night

Pisa is great for a short stay.
Has not got as much to see as other larger Italian Cities but has got the World famous Leaning Tower and tons of great places to eat .
We had a meal in a great  restaurant across the street from our hotel . I spent  a while in there chasing spaghetti round a plate
to the amusement of the Italian waiters.

Everyone that visits Pisa pretends to hold up the Tower .

RIVER ARNO

Pisa Centrale is the main train station and is located along the Tyrrhenic railway line. It connects directly Pisa with several other important Italian cities such as Rome, Genoa, Turin, Naples, Livorno, Grosseto, and Florence.

Pisa San Rossore links the city with Lucca (25 minutes from Pisa) and Pistoia, and is also reachable from Pisa Centrale. It is a minor railway station located near the Leaning Tower zone.

Pisa Aeroporto connects the airport to the central train station, as well as the city of Florence. It is located next to the Galileo Galilei International Airport.

On Sunday we travel by train up to Cinque Terra more details on http://bairdstravel.com/CINQUETERRA.aspx

Duomo

Pisa is best known for the world famous Leaning Tower, but those who come here with their mind already made up that the Tower is the only thing to see here may miss the other architectural and artistic marvels of this beautiful city.

The long walk from the Campo dei Miracoli to the train station is along a pedestrian mall with many interesting sights, shops, and restaurants.
